10 (A)for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
11 (B)Beloved, (C)I urge you as (D)sojourners and exiles to abstain from (E)fleshly lusts which wage (F)war against the soul, 12 (G)by keeping your conduct excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing which they (H)slander you as evildoers, they may [a]because of your good works, as they observe them, (I)glorify God (J)in the day of [b]visitation.

11 Dear friends,(B) I urge you, as foreigners and exiles,(C) to abstain from sinful desires,(D) which wage war against your soul.(E) 12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds(F) and glorify God(G) on the day he visits us.
