¹³ As soon as you enter the city you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat, for the people will not eat until he comes, because ^(A)he must bless the sacrifice; afterward those who are invited will eat. Now therefore, go up for you will find him at once.”

³⁶ and He took the seven loaves and the fish; and ^(A)giving thanks, He broke them and started giving them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.

The Lord’s Supper Instituted

^26 (A)While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and ^[a](B)after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”

⁴¹ And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He ^(A)blessed the food and broke the loaves and He kept giving them to the disciples to set before them; and He divided up the two fish among them all.

⁷ They also had a few small fish; and ^(A)after He had blessed them, He ordered these to be ^[a]served as well.

The Lord’s Supper

^22 (A)While they were eating, He took some bread, and ^[a]after a ^(B)blessing He broke it, and gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is My body.”

³⁰ When He had reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and ^(A)blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them.

³⁵ Having said this, he took bread and ^(A)gave thanks to God in the presence of all, and he broke it and began to eat.

⁶ He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, ^[a]does so for the Lord, for he ^(A)gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God.
