²⁴ All the nations will say, ‘^(A)Why has the Lord done thus to this land? Why this great ^[a]outburst of anger?’

⁸ And this house will become ^[a](A)a heap of ruins; everyone who passes by will be astonished and hiss and say, ‘^(B)Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’

¹⁹ It shall come about ^(A)when ^[a]they say, ‘Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us?’ then you shall say to them, ‘As you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you will ^(B)serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’

⁸ “Many nations will pass by this city; and they will ^(A)say to one another, ‘Why has the Lord done thus to this great city?’
