22 “^[a]If someone steals an ox or a sheep and slaughters it or sells it, he shall pay five oxen for the ox and ^(A)four sheep for the sheep—

⁵ or anything about which he swore falsely; ^(A)he shall make restitution for it ^[a]in full and add to it a fifth more. ^(B)He shall give it to the one to whom it belongs on the day he presents his guilt offering.

⁷ then ^[a]he shall ^(A)confess ^[b]his sin which ^[c]he has committed, and he ^(B)shall make restitution in full for his wrong and add to it a fifth of it, and give it to him whom he has wronged.

⁶ So he must make restitution for the lamb ^(A)four times over, since he did this thing and ^[a]had no compassion.”
