⁸ Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, “This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you concerning all these words.”^(A)

The New Covenant

³¹ “Look, the days are coming”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“when I will make a new covenant^(A) with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

²⁵ In the same way, after supper He also took the cup and said, “This cup is the new covenant^(A) established by My blood.^(B) Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

⁶ He has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant,^(A) not of the letter,^(B) but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit produces life.
