¹³ But the house of Israel ^(A)rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, ^(B)by which, if a man ^[a]observes them, he will live; and My ^(C)sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I ^[b]resolved to ^(D)pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them.

²¹ But the ^(A)children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, nor were they careful to observe My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live; they profaned My sabbaths. So I ^[a]resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the wilderness.

²⁴ because they had not observed My ordinances, but had rejected My statutes and had profaned My sabbaths, and ^(A)their eyes were ^[a]on the idols of their fathers.

³⁸ Again, they have done this to Me: they have ^(A)defiled My sanctuary on the same day and have ^(B)profaned My sabbaths. ³⁹ For when they had slaughtered their children for their idols, they entered My ^(C)sanctuary on the same day to profane it; and lo, thus they did within My house.
