Moses Pleads for the People

^11 (A)The Lord said to Moses, “How long will this people spurn Me? And how long will ^(B)they not believe in Me, despite all the signs which I have performed in their midst? ¹² I will smite them with ^[a](C)pestilence and dispossess them, and I ^(D)will make you into a nation greater and mightier than they.”

²² Surely ^(A)all the men who have seen My glory and My signs which I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet ^(B)have put Me to the test these ten times and have not listened to My voice,

⁸ But they ^(A)rebelled against Me and were not willing to listen to Me; ^[a]they did not cast away the detestable things of their eyes, nor did they forsake the ^(B)idols of Egypt.

Then I ^[b]resolved to ^(C)pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.
