Àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Esau
36 Wọ̀nyí ni ìran Esau, ẹni tí a ń pè ní Edomu.
2 (A)Nínú àwọn ọmọbìnrin Kenaani ni Esau ti fẹ́ àwọn ìyàwó rẹ̀: Adah ọmọbìnrin Eloni ará Hiti àti Oholibama, ọmọbìnrin Ana, ọmọ ọmọ Sibeoni ará Hifi. 3 (B)Ó sì tún fẹ́ Basemati ọmọ Iṣmaeli arábìnrin Nebaioti.
4 Adah bí Elifasi fún Esau, Basemati sì bí Reueli, 5 Oholibama pẹ̀lú sì bí Jeuṣi, Jalamu, àti Kora. Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni ọmọ tí Esau bí ní Kenaani.
6 Esau sì mú àwọn aya rẹ̀, àwọn ọmọkùnrin rẹ̀, àwọn ọmọbìnrin rẹ̀ àti gbogbo àwọn ará ilé rẹ̀, àwọn ohun ọ̀sìn rẹ̀ àti àwọn ẹran ọ̀sìn mìíràn àti gbogbo ohun ìní mìíràn tí ó ní, ni Kenaani, ó sì kó lọ sí ilẹ̀ mìíràn, jìnà sí ibi tí Jakọbu arákùnrin rẹ̀ wà. 7 Ohun ìní wọn pọ̀ ju èyí tí àwọn méjèèjì lè máa gbé ní ojú kan lọ. Ilẹ̀ tí wọ́n wà kò le gba àwọn méjèèjì nítorí àwọn ohun ọ̀sìn wọn. 8 Báyìí ni Esau tí a tún mọ̀ sí Edomu tẹ̀dó sí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè olókè tí Seiri.
9 Èyí ni ìran Esau baba àwọn ará Edomu ní àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè olókè Seiri.
10 Wọ̀nyí ni orúkọ àwọn ọmọ Esau:
Elifasi ọmọ Adah aya Esau àti Reueli, ọmọ Basemati tí í ṣe aya Esau pẹ̀lú.
11 Àwọn ọmọ Elifasi ni ìwọ̀nyí:
Temani, Omari, Sefi, Gatamu, àti Kenasi. 12 Elifasi ọmọ Esau sì tún ní àlè tí a ń pè ní Timna pẹ̀lú, òun ló bí Amaleki fún un. Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ ọmọ Adah aya Esau.
13 Àwọn ọmọ Reueli:
Nahati, Sera, Ṣamma àti Missa. Àwọn ni ọmọ ọmọ Basemati aya Esau.
14 Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Oholibama ọmọbìnrin Ana ọmọ ọmọ Sibeoni: tí ó bí fún Esau:
Jeuṣi, Jalamu àti Kora.
15 Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni olórí nínú àwọn ọmọ Esau:
Àwọn ọmọ Elifasi, àkọ́bí Esau:
Temani, Omari, Sefi, Kenasi, 16 Kora, Gatamu àti Amaleki. Àwọn wọ̀nyí ló jẹ́ olórí ìdílé tí ó ti ọ̀dọ̀ Elifasi ní Edomu wá, wọ́n jẹ́ ọmọ ọmọ Adah.
17 Wọ̀nyí sì ni àwọn ọmọ Esau, ọmọ Rueli:
Nahati olórí, Sera olórí, Ṣamma olórí, Missa olórí; Àwọn wọ̀nyí ló jẹ́ olórí ìdílé tí ó ti ọ̀dọ̀ Reueli jáde ní Edomu. Ọmọ ọmọ Basemati aya Esau ni wọ́n jẹ́.
18 Àwọn ọmọ Oholibama aya Esau:
Jeuṣi, Jalamu, àti Kora, àwọn wọ̀nyí ló jẹ́ olórí ìdílé tí ó ti ọ̀dọ̀ Oholibama ọmọ Ana, ìyàwó Esau wá.
19 Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni ọmọ Esau (Edomu). Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni olórí wọn.
20 (C)Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Seiri ará Hori tí ó ń gbé ní ilẹ̀ náà:
Lotani, Ṣobali, Sibeoni, Ana, 21 Diṣoni, Eseri, àti Diṣani, àwọn wọ̀nyí olórí ènìyàn Hori, àwọn ọmọ Seiri ni ilẹ̀ Edomu.
22 Àwọn ọmọ Lotani:
Hori àti Homamu: Timna sì ni arábìnrin Lotani.
23 Àwọn ọmọ Ṣobali:
Alifani, Manahati, Ebali, Ṣefo àti Onamu.
24 Àwọn ọmọ Sibeoni:
Aiah àti Ana. Èyí ni Ana tí ó rí ìsun omi gbígbóná ní inú aginjù bí ó ti ń da àwọn kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ Ṣebeoni baba rẹ̀.
25 Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Ana:
Diṣoni àti Oholibama (Àwọn ọmọbìnrin ni wọn).
26 Àwọn ọmọ Diṣoni ni:
Hemdani, Eṣbani, Itrani àti Kerani.
27 Àwọn ọmọ Eseri:
Bilhani, Saafani àti Akani.
28 Àwọn ọmọ Diṣani ni:
Usi àti Arani.
29 Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni olórí ìdílé Hori:
Lotani, Ṣobali, Sibeoni, Ana, 30 Diṣoni Eseri, àti Diṣani.
Àwọn ni olórí ìdílé àwọn ará Hori gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìpín wọn ní ilẹ̀ Seiri.
Àwọn aláṣẹ Edomu
31 (D)Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni ọba tí ó jẹ ní Edomu kí ó tó di pé ọba kankan jẹ lórí Israẹli:
32 Bela ọmọ Beori jẹ ní Edomu. Orúkọ ìlú rẹ̀ ni Dinhaba.
33 Nígbà tí Bela kú, Jobabu ọmọ Sera ti Bosra sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
34 Nígbà tí Jobabu kú, Huṣamu láti ilẹ̀ Temani sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
35 Nígbà tí Huṣamu kú, Hadadi ọmọ Bedadi tí ó kọlu Midiani ní ìgbẹ́ Moabu, ó sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀. Orúkọ ìlú rẹ̀ ni Afiti.
36 Nígbà tí Hadadi sì kú, Samla láti Masreka, ó sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
37 Samla sì kú, Saulu ti Rehoboti, létí odò sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
38 Nígbà tí Saulu kú, Baali-Hanani ọmọ Akbori jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
39 Nígbà tí Baali-Hanani ọmọ Akbori kú, Hadadi ni ó jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀. Orúkọ ìlú rẹ̀ ni Pau, orúkọ ìyàwó sì ni Mehetabeeli ọmọbìnrin Matiredi, ọmọbìnrin Mesahabu.
40 Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni orúkọ àwọn baálẹ̀ tí ó ti ọ̀dọ̀ Esau jáde wá, ní orúkọ ìdílé wọn, bí ìpínlẹ̀ wọn ti rí:
baálẹ̀ Timna, baálẹ̀ Alfa, baálẹ̀ Jeteti.
41 baálẹ̀ Oholibama, baálẹ̀ Ela, baálẹ̀ Pinoni,
42 baálẹ̀ Kenasi, baálẹ̀ Temani, baálẹ̀ Mibsari,
43 Magdieli, àti Iramu.

Esau’s Descendants(A)(B)
36 This is the account(C) of the family line of Esau (that is, Edom).(D)
2 Esau took his wives from the women of Canaan:(E) Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite,(F) and Oholibamah(G) daughter of Anah(H) and granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite(I)— 3 also Basemath(J) daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.(K)
4 Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel,(L) 5 and Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam and Korah.(M) These were the sons of Esau, who were born to him in Canaan.
6 Esau took his wives and sons and daughters and all the members of his household, as well as his livestock and all his other animals and all the goods he had acquired in Canaan,(N) and moved to a land some distance from his brother Jacob.(O) 7 Their possessions were too great for them to remain together; the land where they were staying could not support them both because of their livestock.(P) 8 So Esau(Q) (that is, Edom)(R) settled in the hill country of Seir.(S)
9 This is the account(T) of the family line of Esau the father of the Edomites(U) in the hill country of Seir.
10 These are the names of Esau’s sons:
Eliphaz, the son of Esau’s wife Adah, and Reuel, the son of Esau’s wife Basemath.(V)
11 The sons of Eliphaz:(W)
Teman,(X) Omar, Zepho, Gatam and Kenaz.(Y)
12 Esau’s son Eliphaz also had a concubine(Z) named Timna, who bore him Amalek.(AA) These were grandsons of Esau’s wife Adah.(AB)
13 The sons of Reuel:
Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were grandsons of Esau’s wife Basemath.(AC)
14 The sons of Esau’s wife Oholibamah(AD) daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon, whom she bore to Esau:
Jeush, Jalam and Korah.(AE)
15 These were the chiefs(AF) among Esau’s descendants:
The sons of Eliphaz the firstborn of Esau:
Chiefs Teman,(AG) Omar, Zepho, Kenaz,(AH) 16 Korah,[a] Gatam and Amalek. These were the chiefs descended from Eliphaz(AI) in Edom;(AJ) they were grandsons of Adah.(AK)
17 The sons of Esau’s son Reuel:(AL)
Chiefs Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were the chiefs descended from Reuel in Edom; they were grandsons of Esau’s wife Basemath.(AM)
18 The sons of Esau’s wife Oholibamah:(AN)
Chiefs Jeush, Jalam and Korah.(AO) These were the chiefs descended from Esau’s wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah.
19 These were the sons of Esau(AP) (that is, Edom),(AQ) and these were their chiefs.(AR)
20 These were the sons of Seir the Horite,(AS) who were living in the region:
Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,(AT) 21 Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These sons of Seir in Edom were Horite chiefs.(AU)
22 The sons of Lotan:
Hori and Homam.[b] Timna was Lotan’s sister.
23 The sons of Shobal:
Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
24 The sons of Zibeon:(AV)
Aiah and Anah. This is the Anah who discovered the hot springs[c](AW) in the desert while he was grazing the donkeys(AX) of his father Zibeon.
25 The children of Anah:(AY)
Dishon and Oholibamah(AZ) daughter of Anah.
26 The sons of Dishon[d]:
Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran and Keran.
27 The sons of Ezer:
Bilhan, Zaavan and Akan.
28 The sons of Dishan:
Uz and Aran.
29 These were the Horite chiefs:
Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,(BA) 30 Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These were the Horite chiefs,(BB) according to their divisions, in the land of Seir.
The Rulers of Edom(BC)
31 These were the kings who reigned in Edom before any Israelite king(BD) reigned:
32 Bela son of Beor became king of Edom. His city was named Dinhabah.
33 When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah(BE) succeeded him as king.
34 When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites(BF) succeeded him as king.
35 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian(BG) in the country of Moab,(BH) succeeded him as king. His city was named Avith.
36 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king.
37 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth(BI) on the river succeeded him as king.
38 When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan son of Akbor succeeded him as king.
39 When Baal-Hanan son of Akbor died, Hadad[e] succeeded him as king. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab.
40 These were the chiefs(BJ) descended from Esau, by name, according to their clans and regions:
Timna, Alvah, Jetheth, 41 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon, 42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, 43 Magdiel and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom, according to their settlements in the land they occupied.
This is the family line of Esau, the father of the Edomites.(BK)
