⁶ “You who have ^(A)forsaken Me,” declares the Lord,
“You keep ^(B)going backward.
So I will ^(C)stretch out My hand against you and destroy you;
I am ^(D)tired of relenting!

⁹ But if I say, “I will not ^(A)remember Him
Or speak anymore in His name,”
Then in ^(B)my heart it becomes like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones;
And I am weary of holding it in,
And ^(C)I cannot endure it.
