¹⁰ and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, “Behold, I am going to send and get ^(A)Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, ^(B)My servant, and I am going to set his throne right over these stones that I have hidden; and he will spread his ^(C)canopy over them. ¹¹ He will also come and ^(D)strike the land of Egypt; those who are meant for death will be given over to death, and those for captivity to captivity, and ^(E)those for the sword to the sword.

²⁷ Behold, I am watching over them ^(A)for harm and not for good, and ^(B)all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt will ^[a]meet their end by the sword and by famine until they ^[b]are completely gone.

² One third you shall burn in the fire at the center of the city, when the ^(A)days of the siege are completed. Then you shall take one third and strike it with the sword all around ^[a]the city, and one third you shall scatter to the wind; and I will ^(B)unsheathe a sword behind them.

¹⁴ I will ^(A)scatter to every wind all who are around him, his helpers and all his troops; and I will draw out a sword after them.
