37 The Father who sent me has himself testified(A) about me. You have not heard his voice at any time, and you haven’t seen his form.(B) 38 You don’t have his word residing in you, because you don’t believe the one he sent. 39 You pore over the Scriptures(C) because you think you have eternal life in them, and yet they testify about me.(D)

37 And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me.(A) You have never heard his voice nor seen his form,(B) 38 nor does his word dwell in you,(C) for you do not believe(D) the one he sent.(E) 39 You study[a] the Scriptures(F) diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life.(G) These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,(H)
