¹⁶ The priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as food, an offering by fire for a soothing aroma; ^(A)all fat is the Lord’s. ¹⁷ It is a ^(B)perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings: you shall not eat any fat ^(C)or any blood.’”

^5 [a]The reason is so that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they were sacrificing in the open field, that they may bring them in to the Lord, at the doorway of the tent of meeting to the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace offerings to the Lord. ⁶ The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of the Lord at the doorway of the tent of meeting, and ^(A)offer up the fat in smoke as a soothing aroma to the Lord.

⁷ when you brought in ^(A)foreigners, ^(B)uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to profane it, even My house, when you ^(C)offered My food, the fat and the blood; for they ^(D)made My covenant void—this in addition to all your abominations.
