Both ^[c](C)rider and horse were cast into a dead sleep.

¹⁰ His ^(A)watchmen are ^(B)blind,
All of them know nothing.
All of them are mute dogs unable to bark,
^[a]Dreamers lying down, who love to slumber;

⁵⁷ “I will ^(A)make her princes and her wise men drunk,
Her governors, her prefects and her mighty men,
That they may sleep a ^(B)perpetual sleep and not wake up,”
^(C)Declares the King, whose name is the Lord of hosts.
