    Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons:
  2. so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the praetorian guard and to everyone else,
  3. the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives, thinking that they are causing me distress in my imprisonment.
  4. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in this I rejoice. But not only that, I also will rejoice,
  5. according to my eager expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
  6. so that your pride in Christ Jesus may be abundant because of me by my coming to you again.
  7. Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
  8. For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on His behalf,
  9. Be like Christ

    Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,
  10. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
  11. holding firmly the word of life, so that on the day of Christ I can take pride because I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.
  12. For they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus.
  13. because he came close to death for the work of Christ, risking his life to compensate for your absence in your service to me.
  14. for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and take pride in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh,
  15. More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them mere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ,
  16. and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,
  17. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
  18. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
  19. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
  20. And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
  21. Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you.
