  1. But if the man has no relative to whom restitution may be made for the wrong, the restitution for the wrong must go to the Lord for the priest, in addition to the ram of the atonement with which atonement is made for him.

  6. When he has made her drink the water, then it shall be, if she has defiled herself and behaved unfaithfully toward her husband, that the water that brings a curse will enter her and become bitter, and her belly will swell, her thigh will rot, and the woman will become a curse among her people.
  7. But if the woman has not defiled herself, and is clean, then she shall be free and may conceive children.
  8. ‘And if anyone dies very suddenly beside him, and he defiles his consecrated head, then he shall shave his head on the day of his cleansing; on the seventh day he shall shave it.
  9. “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If anyone of you or your posterity is unclean because of a corpse, or is far away on a journey, he may still keep the Lord’s Passover.
  10. ‘And if a stranger dwells among you, and would keep the Lord’s Passover, he must do so according to the rite of the Passover and according to its ceremony; you shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger and the native of the land.’ ”
  11. But if they blow only one, then the leaders, the heads of the divisions of Israel, shall gather to you.
  12. And it shall be, if you go with us—indeed it shall be—that whatever good the Lord will do to us, the same we will do to you.”
  13. If You treat me like this, please kill me here and now—if I have found favor in Your sight—and do not let me see my wretchedness!”
  14. Then He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.
  15. Then the Lord said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut out of the camp seven days, and afterward she may be received again.
  16. And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!
  17. If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’
  18. Now if You kill these people as one man, then the nations which have heard of Your fame will speak, saying,
  19. And if a stranger dwells with you, or whoever is among you throughout your generations, and would present an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord, just as you do, so shall he do.
  20. Laws Concerning Unintentional Sin

    If you sin unintentionally, and do not observe all these commandments which the Lord has spoken to Moses—
  21. then it will be, if it is unintentionally committed, without the knowledge of the congregation, that the whole congregation shall offer one young bull as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma to the Lord, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats as a sin offering.
  22. ‘And if a person sins unintentionally, then he shall bring a female goat in its first year as a sin offering.
  23. If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are visited by the common fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me.
  24. But if the Lord creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the Lord.”
  25. He shall purify himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day; then he will be clean. But if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean.
