  1. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
  2. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,

  9. As it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
  10. Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
  11. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
  12. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
  13. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
  14. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
  15. But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”
  16. The Day Is Near

    And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
  17. So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves.
