Isaiah’s Vision

In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.

And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke.

The people have gone up to the temple and to Dibon, to the high places to weep. Moab wails over Nebo and Medeba; Everyone’s head is bald and every beard is cut off.

Hezekiah’s Prayer in the Temple

Then Hezekiah took the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went up to the house of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord.

It is I who says of Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd, And he will carry out all My desire.’ And he says of Jerusalem, ‘She will be built,’ And of the temple, ‘Your foundation will be laid.’”

A sound of uproar from the city, a voice from the temple, The voice of the Lord who is dealing retribution to His enemies.
