    Jesus left the temple area and was going on His way when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him.
  14. At that time Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me as you would against a man inciting a revolt? Every day I used to sit within the temple grounds teaching, and you did not arrest Me.

  16. And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and left; and he went away and hanged himself.
  17. The chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, “It is not lawful to put them in the temple treasury, since it is money paid for blood.”
  18. and saying, “You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”
  19. And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.
